DealerGrip ("we," "us," or "our") operates the DealerGrip platform, which provides AI-powered SMS lead follow-up services to automotive dealerships. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Dealership account information: When a dealership creates an account, we collect name, email address, phone number, dealership name, and billing information.
- Lead data: Dealerships upload lead lists containing consumer names, phone numbers, email addresses, and vehicle interest information. This data is provided by the dealership and belongs to them.
- SMS conversation data: We store the content of SMS conversations between the AI system and leads on behalf of dealerships.
- Usage data: We collect information about how dealerships use the platform, including login times, features used, and import activity.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the DealerGrip platform for dealership customers
- Send AI-generated SMS messages to leads on behalf of dealerships
- Process and store lead data uploaded by dealerships
- Improve our AI conversation quality and platform features
- Send service-related communications to dealership account holders
- Comply with legal obligations
3. SMS Messaging and Consumer Data
DealerGrip sends SMS messages to automotive leads on behalf of dealership customers. All SMS recipients are individuals who have previously provided their phone number to the dealership in connection with a vehicle inquiry or purchase interest.
- All messages include opt-out instructions (reply STOP to opt out)
- We immediately honor all STOP requests and remove opted-out numbers from all future messaging
- We do not sell or share consumer phone numbers or lead data with third parties for marketing purposes
- Message and data rates may apply to SMS recipients
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers: We use Twilio for SMS delivery, Supabase for data storage, and Anthropic's Claude API for AI conversation generation. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
- Dealership customers: Lead conversation data is accessible to the dealership that uploaded the lead.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain dealership account data for as long as the account is active. Lead data and conversation history is retained for the duration of the dealership's subscription. Dealerships may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. SMS recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP. To exercise other rights, contact us at privacy@dealergrip.com.
8. Children's Privacy
DealerGrip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify dealership account holders of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
